Going to the Chapel

It finally arrived...this weekend was the wedding! One of my good friends Emaly got married on Saturday! It was such a great and fun time. We all arrived at the church around 11:45 and we were all ready except for putting our dresses on. We just chilled and hung out for a little while until it was time for pictures and for me and a few of the other girls to head to the registry. The ceremony began and I hadn't planned to cry-but I did as soon as Emaly started walking down the aisle. I just couldn't believe this was happening-what we had all prayed for for so long was coming true and it was an amazing thing to witness! The ceremony was sweet, Emaly's dad Donald did the ceremony and bless his heart I wasn't sure he was going to make it through it-but he did! That was it Emaly Cline was now Emaly Williams! As the ceremony ended I went and hugged Emaly and said, "You are MARRIED!" She was like I know how crazy is that? Crazy it is because a few years ago Emaly, Anna S., and I were all in the same boat-single and now one of our own is married and gets to live happily ever after. On the way to the reception Anna S. and I were talking about how we didn't realize how fast love could happen because two years ago Emaly and Michael weren't even talking and now they are married-CRAZY but EXCITING at the same time! I told Anna witnessing this today made me think that there is still hope for me and that my time will come eventually! The reception was fun, the food was amazing, and it was great to spend some quality time with Anna S. since she was leaving on Sunday to go back to Argentina and I am not sure when I will see her again! One of  the best parts about the reception was Lucy Parker (who is amazing by the way) who is Emaly's cousin and did her pictures set up a happy booth at the reception. I had seen other pictures that Lucy had done of this and knew how cute they were so I was excited. This is just a booth that you can in and get props and do silly things, but it is so fun. We dragged Dave and Jeremy in there with us and I was surprised that they actually went, and then Emaly and all us girls went in there! What fun! After the first dances, the cake cutting, the bouquet was tossed, and the garter had been thrown it was time to say goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Williams as they headed on their honeymoon! All in all it was a pretty great day and I am so glad I got to be a part of it! Here are some pics from the day!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

So yesterday was a full day of wedding events! Yesterday morning we had the bridesmaids luncheon at Glenda's lake house. It was gorgeous after the storm cleared up of course. There we ate and received our gifts from Emaly which was jewelry and these cute sandals with pink and purple flowers on them (she put those on there herself) for us to wear at the reception! They are so pretty. Here we are at the bridesmaid luncheon!
Last night was the bachelorette party, and lets just say I have not laughed that hard in a very long time! We all met at Kristen's where her and Anna Cline had decorated the house and it looked amazing! We went to eat at Court Street Grill and that was fun! The real fun begin when we got back to Kristen's. We played some games. I won who knows the bride the best...woohoo! I got a super cute wine glass for winning. Emaly opened her gifts and she got a lot of cute stuff. Just as a side note the married people were supposed to write down some advice to give Emaly. Whitney (Michael's sister in law) gave the best advice I thought. She gave Emaly a blindfold and said use this to be blinded by his imperfections! What great advice, I thought that was precious. More games were played and the fun continued. Anna bought Emaly a cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory (which she loves) and let's just say it was AMAZING! Everything was perfect and I am so excited for the wedding next weekend!

Time

Something is definitely in the water these days. Everywhere I turn someone is pregnant or getting married, but pregnancy is the biggest thing right now. My cousin Jenna welcomed her third child this morning, a sweet baby boy named Harper O'Neal. I love that name! Speaking of names, we have this tradition in our family where if you have more than one kid they are always named with the same initial. My mom did it with my sister and I, my Aunt Kaye did it with her kids-they are all J's. And now that they are having kids, they are doing it too. So it is only right that I keep up the tradition whenever I have kids-who knows when that will be! It is so funny for me to think about Jenna having a third child today because we are the same age and I am not married, nor have kids. She seems so happy and I am so happy for her! Our lives are changing thats for sure-growing up, graduating from college, getting married, having kids, etc. Sometimes I wish we could go back to those summers where my sister and I went to Georgia or Jessica and Jenna came here. We were all so close and I am so thankful that I got to grow up with them.

Time is flying. This weekend consists of many wedding festivities for my friend Emaly who is getting married next weekend. Today is the bridesmaids luncheon and bachelorette party-both which I think are going to be great! I can't believe she is getting married. We have been friends since the 9th grade when she wore her butterfly clips in her hair everyday. I told her we needed to get her some for the wedding for old times sake! I am looking forward to today and being around the people that I love. Next weekend is the wedding and then not long after that I will be heading to Columbia to watch my little sister graduate from college. What?!? My sister is graduating from college. I can hardly think about it without wanting to cry. She has turned out to be my best friend and such an amazing young woman. Can't believe this day is coming so soon! I couldn't be more proud!

Time is flying. Life is changing. But I refuse to let it pass by with any regrets!

Rambling

This is going to be one of those blogs were I talk about a lot of different things that don't really go together, but I just want to get all my thoughts out.

So it is official. I got my graduation audit back the other day and I will officially be graduating in December. Hallelujah! I am so excited. School has been crazy, it is the end of the semester and I have 500 things to do. Which I should probably be doing right now, but I need a break. On top of all this work my friend Emaly is getting married in a few short weeks! I am so excited for her! So life is pretty crazy and exciting at the same time. I finally bought shoes to go with my dress yesterday, so now I am all ready for her big day! Back to the school thing, today I was observing at Lucy Brock for one of my classes and the children went to Sanford Mall to play. I followed them to observe my child and while watching these precious children run around having the times of their lives only confirmed what I am supposed to do for the rest of my life. Children are my heart. They have always been my heart. I am so excited to work with them for the rest of my life.

Speaking of children, most of you know that my niece and nephews are my world. I haven't seen them since Thanksgiving and I have been missing them really bad this week. Alli got a webcam for Christmas so we could Skype but they have been so busy and I have been so busy that we haven't talked in a few weeks. I am really missing her. I feel that Christopher, Patrick, and Alli are growing up so fast and I am missing so much of their lives. I mean Christopher just became a teenager, Alli will be in double digits in August, and Patrick is starting school so soon! Really? Where has the time gone? I remember my first day of high school when Pat called me to tell me that Alli had been born. I never realized that I could love a little girl so much. Speaking of time flying, my sister will be 22 this month. Oh my goodness. We are both getting old.

Lastly, I will say that this week has been crazy busy, but good as well. I have had time to breathe and will be taking this weekend to get ahead of the gang on all the work I have to do!
